Track Name: The Spanish One
Sunlight streams through my eyes,
Reaching out from my mind.
Darkness falls; light abounds.
Memory calls, without a sound.

Ooh aah laa, sing me a song now.
Ooh aah laa, it won't be long now.
Ooh aah laa, sing me a song now.
Ooh aah laa, it won't be long now.

What have you got with nothing to lose?
An empty box and empty shoes.
Nothing you say won't make this right.
Even if you squint you won't see me, quite.

Oceans to cross; miles to see.
People to own and things to be.
Yeah.

Ooh aah laa, sing me a song now.
Ooh aah laa, it won't be long now.
Ooh aah laa, sing me a song now.
Ooh aah laa, it won't be long now.

Ooh aah laa, sing me a song now.
Ooh aah laa, it won't be long now.
Ooh aah laa, sing me a song now.

Ooh aah laa.
Track Name: What Have You Done With The Rain?
And what have you done with the rain?
And what has it done to you?
The only thing I can't explain is what it's doing to you.

Starlit tables, beneath a cloudy sky,
Bathed in headlights of the cars passing by.

Woke up cold this morning, to the sound of a song:
Visions of places I dreamed that I'd never, ever, gone.

And what have you done with the rain?
And what has it done to you?
The only thing I can't explain is what it's doing to you.

Empty bottles fill the air.
Houses filled with no-one there.
Silent speakers loudly blare
Music that no-one can hear.

And what have you done with the rain?

Starlit tables, beneath a cloudy sky,
(What have you done with the rain?)
Bathed in headlights of the cars passing by.
(What has it done to you?)
Woke up cold this morning to the sound of this very song,
(The only thing I can't explain)
And I had the visions of places I've never, ever, gone.
(Is what it's doing to you.)

What have you done?
(To you.)
What have you done, with the rain?
(To you.)
What have you done?
And the piano takes it away.
Track Name: Afraid Of The Dark
She grew up in a tower of stone,
And though she wasn't, she said "I'm all alone!
Building a castle of happy ever after,
Every brick I place is just a minor disaster."

Put on your jacket, and walk through the park.
Don't forget to be afraid of the dark.
Sit on your park bench, and get lost in thought.
The walking man will find you there at dawn.

Don't go, don't go.
Don't go. Don't go!

Won't you come out, and go for a ride?
It's cold out here, but inside it's dry!
Living to question nothing at all,
When the only answer is: try not to fall.
Track Name: We Gotta Be
The water's cold, but I can see.
The sun is golden.
What are we?

If anybody speaks out loud,
Will they be heard above the crowd?

We gotta be.
We gotta see.
We gotta be.
We gotta see.

Yeah!

Ow!

The seat is hot, but I can spell.
My mind is not a wishing well.

We're standing on our burning decks:
The rope we tie around our necks.

We gotta go.
We gotta know.
We gotta go.
We gotta know.

The fire burning orange, blue, and pink;
A wire trapping those who try to think.
The way of life surrounding you and me
Will soon become a lock without a key.

The sky is bright, but I can dream
I know it isn't what it seems.

The water's cold, but I can see.
The sun is golden.
What are we?

We gotta go.
We gotta know.
We gotta see, ooh.
We gotta be.
Track Name: Day To Day
Watch the waves crash upon the shore,
And I'm thinking that if - if the sand would wash away,
I wouldn't believe that the world's still spinning.

And the moon pulls away from day to day.
It's day to day.
Day to day.
It's day to day.

Shear the sheep to cover up the lion's mane.
This deal's for keeps; if you have regrets,
Well isn't that a crying shame?
Yeah, I'm still spinning.

And you pull away from day to day.
It's day to day.
Day to day.
Isn't it a nice day, today?
Day to day.
It's day to day.
It's day to day.
Track Name: Green (Red)
Green hat, red hat, glass of wine;
Statues, paintings, the perfect crime.
Napkins, papers on the table there;
Light in the door, shadow on the stair.
Men come, men go, music halls.
Shocking writing on the wall.

Wind in the trees overhangs the street
Cracks in the sidewalk, between my feet.
Girls in white dance a different beat,
Making mistakes we all repeat.
< repeat ad nauseam>

Red chairs, green chairs, take a shot.
Lemons line this table top.
Blackboard, white board, sleepy eyes:
Social contract, truth and lies.
Red head, green head, glass of beer;
Wonder what I'm doing here.
Track Name: Fifty-Eight Pianos
She went out for dinner on the caravan,
And woke up for breakfast with another man.
You can't see when your eyes are closed.
So tell me - tell me now - how to strike this pose.
My mother told me something, I remember that"
"La dee da dee da and the cat in the hat."

And oh,
I remember standing
By the river yelling,
That sunny day.
And oh,
I remember singing:
"You can't be winning,
So keep running away."

She tripped up again, like she did before.
And no-one even hears the knock at the door.
Walking into work on a holiday,
Wrapping up hope in a ball of clay.
58 pianos and a baseball bat -
La dee da dee da and the cat in the hat.

And oh,
I remember standing
By the river yelling,
That sunny day.
And oh,
I remember singing:
"You can't be winning,
So keep running away."
Track Name: Quarter To Nine
I caught the bus at a quarter to nine.
Late by an hour, but I'm still on time.
I left an hour ago.
I have no excuse for it, but there was a lot snow.
Wah oh.

What can I say? I'm not a jerk.
But don't ask me to lie about it,
Or it might get worse.

I caught the bus at a quarter to nine.
No-one ever told me it wouldn't be on time.

And today, I threw it all away.
I laughed as I got my way and then I said "no more!"
And today, I threw it all away.
I laughed as I got my way and I said "no more!"

No more.
